What is the whistle sound?

After I have been playing for a few minutes, I start getting regular sounds of a person making a whistle sound, but I can't work out what it signifies.

It's a Guardian's of the Galaxy reference. There's an equipment talent that gives you a little crystal that flies around and kills things when your character whistles. I forget the name of the talent.

Thanks, makes sense, I have had it in a few runs, I don't recall a description of anything that does that, but will try to look out for it and avoid it in future, I find it very annoying to listen to!
