With friends? Just use the Steam overlay (Shift + Tab) and invite them.

Otherwise, I think you can get a code and they can enter the code maybe? Not 100% sure on that since we use the Steam invite method.

Sorry just happened to check. You just invite people to your room, no code. And start that way

From within the game click "Create Room" then "Invite" your friends. Untick "Set Public" if you don't want strangers to play. If you want strangers to join then leave "Set Public" selected.

Players will need to Ready Up before you can start.
