failed to start game (missing executiomable)

ive just downloaded this game from game.com, whan i go to start playing i get this "failed to start game (missing executiomable)" ive done all the things suggested by steam ie turned off anti virus etc but still wont work. ive emailed steam and got basically fobbed off. can anyone help please?

they dont care, nobody cares. this game is awesome and i have great memories of playing it back in the day so of course i want to hit the arena sometimes occasionally to get some quad. But its all ancient history dude. I try to play it sometimes but keep hitting issue like you are having too, sometimes i can get on a match but only on the same lame maps ever never terra or any good outdoor team maps, just the usual space and citadel, maybe house of pain id f lucky. So long suicide runs and catch you later to being ascout, guard or ammo dude
