I hate this game.

So far this is the worst purchase I've ever made on steam. No controller support at all is one thing, but I can't even get one kill on the first level. I think that I'm okay at fps games and I've looked at all the options for some kind of dicculty settings to no avail. I'm very upset having been defeated flawlessly 3 times in a row! I would appeciate someone's help concerning this because I'm too angry to see straight at the moment. I like difficult NOT IMPOSSIBLE YOU ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't see how it's a good game! Am I supposed to play just to be killed over and over again? I LITERALLY CANNOT GET 1 KILL!!! How can there be a best weapon if no one can die except me? I've beaten Quake 1, Quake 2 and Quake 3 on the hardest diificulties...but I cannot get 1 kill.

Nope. I'm just not good at this one...AT ALL!!!

I'll say it again for you I'VE BEATEN QUAKE 1, 2, AND 3 ON THE HARDEST DIFFICULTIES!...but even 1 kill on the first level wasn't possible. What are you recommending? Because it sounds like "don't ever play a FPS game ever again noob!".

Seriously, I can't even aim in time to hit my opponent before I'm dead. It's like going up against a psychic with perfect accuracy who can see through walls. There was one time where I made it 1 step past the corner and was hit by a rocket that had obviously been fired before I had gotten to the corner at all! Almost like my opponent was watching my side of the split screen and knew the timing to hit me as I stepped out into view(I've done it myself years ago in Golden eye and Quake 2).

You're complaiying about bots difficulty in Team Arena? Did you try to play Quake Live CTF mods with alive players?

I play offline most of the time regardless of which game it is. All I want to know is; how to bring down the bots difficulty setting, if it is supposed to be like that or if something is wrong with my computer/game.

There have been times in the past(PS1) where I ANNIHILATED!!! the other players in a Quake 2 deathmatch(were talking like, when I get to 20 frags and the 2nd place player is at 4). For Golden Eye, I mastered the proximity mine trick on 2 different multiplayer levels(It"s not enough that you know the level layout, you have to know the respawn locations)...I've gotten perfect numerous times(20?) in that game.

I want to beat the single player way at least once! Don't tell me I have to play live against easy opponents first.

Well in contrast with the AI of Q3A, Team Arena's AI has been improved( smarter, more cunning, etc) Maybe you should play some more Q3A and you'll get used to it!

Improved? It's like fighting someone who can read your mind. So what you are telling me is "practice"? There really is no way to turn down the difficulty?

I bought it yesterday and now I'm enjoying Q3 again after many years. Still amazing game.

thanoswarlock: I thing your problem is there is a Nightmare difficulty set as a default after first run. Change it on "I can win" and you will win.

btw: controller for Quake III...? Seriously... This is not CoD...

Even then COD is much more njoyable and easyer with a mouse.

But honestly.. if you are 'good' at fps... at all.. you knw you can change difficulty settings of each game... right?

I mean come on, you claim to play a ton load of FPS, but you dont even know how to navigate menu's

no controller support? youre mad about that? This is a fast paced twitch shooter. You cant play it well on a controller...... sheesh. gamers today just suck.
