Tropico 3 - Steam Special Edition

Tropico 3 - Steam Special Edition

Critical Error, Crash at Start
Whenever I launch the game, it crashes and informs me that I need a direct x 9 compatible video card or chipset or some ♥♥♥♥ like that, and it links me to a website. But here's the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, I've already run the game on this computer. I ran it for like 10 minutes then shut it down. Then the next time I try to start the game it does this critical error ♥♥♥♥.

Has anyone had similiar troubles and if so what did one do to remedy it?

Try disabling second monitor if you have one, and try updating drivers. I don't know anymore then that sorry.

But no, really, the game was running fine a week ago on this same ccomputer, I've not updated or anything since. I think Steam updated, but why would that matter? I don't see how it could be the drivers because I was already playing the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ thing.

Like, listen, buddy, I've got Skyrim on my computer. If I can play Skyrim just fine, I should be able to play this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Pharoah rip-off.

The solution was easily googled. Simply delete the Tropico 3 folder in appdata/roaming.
