Slime 3K: Rise Against Despot

Slime 3K: Rise Against Despot

Spoilers For "Be Afraid" Achievement
You just go in to the menu and Reset Tutorial, then go in to Level 1 and just wait on the 1st Tutorial pop up that asks you to click. this took around a minute or so to get the achievement.

So my thoughts on this achievement, Well i honestly think it's not a very good mystery, as there was 0 indication of you having to wait at all in any official capacity, i figured it out thanks to the additional hints that community members gave after, but the description of the achievement, only implies that is has something to do with the duck, which appears at the start of the game in the tutorial (which itself is a 2 part thing, that i don't think the 2nd part of can even be done again), and then at the ending after the final boss.

the problem is that most people don't really go through their settings to reset the tutorial, or know that it's a thing, if they played the game before this achievement, then it would probably not be in the recent memory, and thus the only realistic conclusion is that it's to do with the final boss some how. This on it's own is really a problem for those that have been playing this game for a long time, but is still kind of a problem, since there is no way to make another file in the game itself, so there is also close to 0 chance that people would be restarting especially considering how grindy it is to get all the upgrades, so not many would be willing to just lose that to test out if the tutorial was the thing, if they just never knew about the reset. So adding a way to have 3 different save files in the game would be a good idea to look in to, since even if you can just go in to Appdata and copy a file and rename it to another folder then just reset the game to have essentially 2 files, it is not convenient and most will never even think of that as an option.

lastly the actual achievement is missing critical clues in it for this to be a mystery, and not just chance that somebody needs to leave during the tutorial and gets this achievement, or you need to look it up, as there is no in game way to realistically figure out you are supposed to just wait on the Tutorial specifically, all we get is that it's something related to the Duck and nothing else. the Wording on the Achievement should in some way mention "Time" or probably better yet "Waiting" as well as the Duck and that would feel like it has something to do with it, as of right now the achievement would probably imply that you need to die or kill something related to the Duck rather then waiting on the tutorial.

the file path is UseName/AppData/LocalLow/Konfa Games

There you will see the Slime3k folder, i just copied the entire folder to a different folder on my desktop and rename it so i know which save file it is, as in for me it is "Slime3k D tier" for my D tier cards only run. And once you've done that you can go in game and restart progress and thus you now have 2 save files, you can do the processes of coping the file form the file path to that desktop folder then rename it, to make another file. and when you want to add a file back, copy the original form the file path to the desktop folder to save that file, and then just move a renamed file in to the Konfa Games folder and delete the old Slime3k folder and rename the folder you brought in as Slime3k, and you are done with the swap.

Hey! That was kind of the point of that achievement - for it to be as cryptic as it gets, with some hints (the description mentions the Goose.)

i get that, but still the wording on it only hits at the goose (duck), and not the actual method, which is like giving someone the answer to a question that was never asked, thus coming off as well try everything you can think of and if that doesn't work then you can't get it unless some one tells you. which ruins the mystery.

currently there is not really enough info for people to be expected to figure it out, since there are quite a lot you can do with just the goose (duck), since it's in 2 places in the game (3 if you count the deck tutorial as separate, as it can't be redone through the tutorial from what i can tell) where it could be literally anything after that, which is you know the answer, but don't know the question it's to, you know it's the Goose (duck) but not how or where.

i don't think anyone got it before 1 of the devs had to drop a hint on it, and even then it was only 1 or 2 people, who then dropped more hits, which means it took about 3 hits more then what you gave originally for general people to figure it out, then some needed further hints.

I see your point. We'll check the completion percentage of the achievement in a week or two, and if it's still too low, we'll think of something. I appreciate your continuous feedback, Bone_Reaper 🤝.

Didn't work for me. I saw the pop-up but now I look at my achievements it's @99%?

**Edit** After trying multiple times and waiting. It pop-ed-up again. And now the achievement is completed.
