Slime 3K: Rise Against Despot

Slime 3K: Rise Against Despot

Difficulty spike?
Hi. Just picked up the game today and played for about 90 mins.
Here's how it went:

Level 1: first try, EZ
Level 2: first try, EZ
Level 3: first try, EZ
Level 4: getting my ass kicked over and over again. I'm getting stronger every attempt, thanks to the DNA metaprogression system, but still... I mean... ouch.

Is this, like, a normal state of things?

i don't know what cards your using but you can always edit your deck to fit you better. also passive skills from getting a certain amount of cards with the same tag help a lot and are permanent even if you sell them later. if you have the d rank finance cards and the piggy bank you can rush that to get a good boost to your economy. also even though the piggy bank has a low rank its definitely super good since you can have it get to level 3, sell it, and do that until you have enough money to fully upgrade the shop

I've been trying to optimize my deck and get rid of the abilities I don't like in order to focus on specific categories such as "FOOD" or "AOE" but the game keeps telling me "Not enough abilities" so... Had no idea about the permanent upgrades though, that'll help, TY!

I've been trying to build a solid economy early on. But I'm a little confused as to what to prioritize: getting money, getting more weapons to stack them, upgrading the shop...? And also... the more you upgrade the shop, the less likely you are to find the piggy banks... right?

after playing a couple hours I've figured out how to build a basic economy that makes the game super easy and a little boring (so do at your own risk).

Don't level your shop to the point you have A tier cards, and sit before then go to shop and only buy piggy till lvl 3 (reroll on every shop till you have no money or piggy 3[you can buy other cards, usually i buy lvl 2 of everything and then consistently get piggy 3 each shop with extra) then each shop sell piggy, get him back, and slowly try to build your other cards to remove them from the pool of cards, that way its easier to find piggy, i can consistently decide exactly what full build lvl 3 i want at least 5 mins before final boss on lvl 9 and any other level really. after that you can make as much as you want (If I'm really try Harding for an achievement or something) and then once you've accumulated enough money just fully level up your shop and full buy everything.

about the "Not enough abilities", if you haven't realized already (as your post is a couple days old) you need to fill in at least 3 of each rarity card.

Hope you're enjoying the game, personally i have been having a blast and have already put in 12 hours, buying it yesterday.

I just can't beat this level for the life of me

I'm buying tons of piggy banks and seelling them back at a profit, trying to get some good abilities (A-tier, S-tier) but I just have no clear, I feel super weak and the game throws way too much ♥♥♥♥ at me

I just don't get how the first three levels can feel so good to play and how this is such a pain

You are going to HATE level 6 Level 7-9 are easy.

Level 9-10 give crazy amounts of DNA, like 100-150.

I mostly focus Financing, I forget what unlocks Budgeting. Financing weapons plus Budgeting is crazy money. Supreme Gun works so well but Supreme Gun might be OP.

I dont understand this game. What are the greyed out cards on the right side? Passive skills? How to upgrade skills?

Level 4 was a pain at first, its easy once you pick up the card that gives you health for using cards with the Food tag. theres a good amount of weapons with the food tag and just keep upgrading them, theres even A or S tier ones, but itll basically make you invincible and destroy at the same time.

Also getting piggy to level 2 on lower levels works fine too and just balance it out whether to upgrade / buy depending on if you see anything you want and how much money you have.

And an upgrade you can get which is really easy is play level 3 and beat it with 3 finance tag cards at level 2, then after when you go to your upgrades you can use DNA to make it so upgrading shop costs 1 - 2 less tokens which will help slightly and its easy to do.
The spike was real. I just need to stop playing so I could build deck, switch character, upgrade passives.

This game is terrible when it comes to balance. Level 10 - 0 problems - i beat it with anything, any time. Endless - the only change compared to level 10 is that enemies have like 1000% life. I mean... Weak ♥♥♥♥ af

Only mission I've had difficulty with is 6, simply because the swing of the silencer and the samurai boss extends much farther than it appears. Once that animation starts if you don't have a speed boost you will take 300 damage.

It's just that if you get in to melee distance then you take damage, pretty much every enemy with a melee attack will do damage to you if you ever get in to melee distance and speed boosts don't really help at least never did anything in my 120 hours, you just gotta build a bit bulky and get Bonus Bonus as early as possible, to stock pile healing Pick Ups on the map from the start to then heal off the damage.

They very visibly have attack frames and it is possible to dodge them, I have consistently dodged his attacks with the speed boost. Its not even just him, every enemy with a melee weapon seems to have attack frames. However the samurai's animation and the seeker animation is farther out than their animation would suggest, making it required.
