Tips for level 4?

When I check the achievements and see the others I have unlocked I see that more people have completed levels 4 and 5 than some of the other achievements.. How? I'm so stuck at level 4, I don't have a chance to even see the end boss. I'm unsure what I'm missing or which skill I should use for sure on this level?

I should have posted this earlier because now I beat level 4... I felt it was still luck but throwing overboard the early skills quite early on seemed to have helped.

Level 4 is just unlocking Targeted Bonus card + damage upgrades. Targeted bonus + all the targeted skill cards you can fit, and then try to put in Dual Wielding.

I'm stuck and I don't know how to manage the deck for this level.

only beat it myself due to circling the map, the mobs at the time were a manageable blob slowly moving so i could just stay ahead while circling, the boss was slowly killed by the upgraded watermelon weapon and other explodey stuff like rocket launcher which slowly drained the bosses hp till it died.

An easier way is to go for all shot/gun weapons and the shot/multishot ability that makes you shoot in all 4 directions, you live long enough even when surrounded. Just try not to use too many healpods/shield pickups and save them for near the end.

I managed to get it before I got the targeted bonus card, but then when I got that card, I proceeded to clear 5-9 in sequence. It seems like the difficulty spike at 4 is too high, and the following levels are too easy, at least until 10.

this level is hard, it helps to plan out your deck and what you want to upgrade. you will know if you have won before the boss even comes just based on the playing field. the primary cards I used were targeted bonus, all around defense, nuggets of darkness, needle shotgun, shuriken, grenade launcher and powerful self guided (all lvl 3). remaining cards were a mix of stuff, blast wave, cold snap, tiny slime and flash (starters).

I just unlocked that targeted bonus, but have been struggling with stage 4 for a while, no amount of summon or food stacking was working, i was even reaching 22k hp and still just getting mowed down.
