Worth it?
I thought the demo was interesting and have never heard of the mobile version.

Pros & Cons?

I thought the mobile version was another good Hit-Point game.
1. The story/characters were fine, and I liked how you get the true ending.
2. It's kind of novel for mixing survival horror with turn-based combat.
3. Progression is nice as you unlock new melee/ranged weapons to experiment with, some from optional side quests.

The mobile version's $7.99, but:
1. It's a short JRPG: you can find two English YouTube playthroughs where it's 4 or 6 hours and 50+ minutes, without skipping the optional Ch. 13 Motel and Ch. 14 Disco Club that amounts to at least half an hour.
2. It also felt too easy where I didn't need to use ammo much or serums to heal. Then they also shower you in those resources after combat. For example, my mobile clear save has 162 handgun ammo, 114 revolver ammo, 69 shotgun ammo, and 205 serums, because:
  • Your first and last party members have a unique skill to deal damage without wasting ammo, and you can find 4 weapons that deal damage without wasting ammo to give to the other two.
  • Serums heal like 100 HP and takes 5 to revive them in combat (they'll come back at 1 HP after battle if left dead), but your second party member can heal 15% max HP for free and will basically amount to a serum when you level cap (410 ~ 470 HP + 150 from snackboosters = 84 ~ 93 healed).
  • Third party member can buff someone for +40% Attack, but it's a DPS loss compared to just attacking with her against a single target. It shines more with (shotgun) spread damage against 2+ enemies, but you want to lean towards singling out enemies to avoid joint encounters, so I defaulted back to using those ammo-less weapons and the free heal. That could also make it feel repetitive for some people.
  • Screen transitions (area name seen in the middle right) refresh enemy encounters, allowing you to grind. Earliest I can remember would be in Chapter 07: Police Station (30 EXP), but EXP gain is better from Chapter 10: Shopping Mall Area onward (100 EXP). Even without, I think it's feasible to reach the level cap of 30 before you hit the final boss.

The Steam/console version's $14.99, but has:
1. Keyboard/controller support.
2. A score counter that's recorded upon clear data.
3. New Hard & Nightmare difficulties.*
4. An increased level cap from 30 to 40.
*You do have to restart the game from the beginning to change your difficulty, but can now get some replay value out of it while also being challenged hopefully, assuming they adjust things like scarcer ammo/serum, more damage dealt/taken, more enemy HP, and/or more enemy density.
