Saw the changes on the most recent Splattercat upload, jumped in, did the first run and fully enjoyed it.

A fun mix of resource and inventory management while blasting dudes with a plethora of guns and stuff.

Sounds and environment are top notch, the shotgun sounds great, there is a visceral sound of walking through blood and dead bodies. Really gives great immersion. The level size and design is perfect for a dad who has 20-30 mins at a time to play.

Would fully recommend, looking forward further development. I will purchase when made available.

Down fast is better. Move fast mean number not go up. High number bad.

Every cranny not need checked. Everything need provided, nothing important miss.

As many others have mentioned in their reviews, this game isn't for everybody , just for people that feel that itch for a rogue-like heavily dependant on tactics. I really like the Quasimorph mechanic, as time progresses enemies get stronger and their transformations become more sadistic and brutal which calls for always being on the move, do i keep dungeoning the levels for more loot even i already found the levels exit? will the time i stay worth it or will it be my demise on the next level from all the time i took being a ratpack? Will this possesed human turn into a 6" devil that can amputate my arm in one turn? So much fun, this game really puts you on the edge. Of course, it's a prologue, what the game has to offer as a base game it's really promising and unique, the atmosphere, the enemy designs, the intriguing story with the aztecan-esque demons , the gorgeous pixel art, the headbanging soundtrack it all sums up into making an unforgivable but rewarding experience at times. Looking foward to the game's full release!

Love every part of it, except for the timer system. That part kinda ruins the fun for me.

Since the positive comments already tell enough about how good the game is, i will now saying the bad things about the game:
+The bad:
-Inventory not really responsive, sometimes you just want to put a 2x1 item in your storage and instead it got drop to the ground.
-Backpacks is too small, and the only time you can only feel comfortable with item management is when you get the 6x4 one.
-Sometimes, the elevator room for the next floor is right next to the elevator room you came in.
-Movement feel too slow, the animation should get speed up or something. Game already slow enough as a turn-base strategy game.
-AI path path finding aren't really good, especially when there are other AI blocking the door
-You can get every consumable you ever need by just gathering it in the map
+The terrible:
-Remember what i tell you about the small backpacks/storage and you can get every consumable you want? This make crafting became useless. The only item you want to craft in the entire game is weapon repair kit. But if you know how to switch weapon to reduce their load then even repair kit is not needed. Even if you want to craft anything then you still could't do it since you don't have enough backpack slots while there are tons of other things you need to carry.
-After learning how to play the game, i won't say the game is hard. Most of my dead rather came from ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ scenario. Like the enemy react and spray bullet like crazy right after i open the door. Or some enemy just straight up oneshot me even i already have the best armor/helmet in this demo (don't know if they were holding a rifle or a machine gun)
-Terrible balancing, there are no point of melee at all. Most mobs can inflict you an injury with ranged weapon. It even getting worst in the later maps where every room is fill with 3+ enemy, with 20% chance of any of them going Quasimorph. I suggest buff the damage of all melee weapon (enemy include) and buff the melee class skill tree. Buff armor too, heavy armor should feel completely different compare to t-shirt. Player could get mortally wounded, but they should not get oneshot when wearing the best armor they can get their hand into.

There are more things i like to talk about, but since this is still early access. I think most of those will get fixed or updated as the time go by. Hopefully they can get this game on the right track.

Played for roughly 3 hours. enjoyed myself for the most part. game is brutal but fun. i do like the RNGness of it. when i first opened it up i instantly realized the volume slider wasnt at 100% and thats like a gigantic plus. the storage issues everyone is talking about are minimal yet there. the thing i was wishing i had while playing was a controls option to look at different controls because for the first hour and a half i was just playing with mouse and was unaware of the other buttons. the intro for the game is also a bit weird, i didnt really know where to head to for the first few minutes to start the mission. maybe like a 2 minute tutorial would solve all this. the combat is nice. reminds me of Sword of the stars: the pit which is good. I enjoy the fact that you could just walk into a room and if you're not careful just be dead in seconds. But all in all 9/10. in the top 3 of the best games ive gotten and tried off of steam this year. can't wait till it comes out and see the different changes

Looks like a futuristic version of Stoneshard and i love it.
End of Dream is a prologue of upcoming RPG Quasimoprh where you're gonna face your fears in brutal encounters where you can die faster than you realise what's happened. Manage resoures, don't rush and make every turn Viable.

After playing for 2.5 hours, I do find myself enjoying the concept of a Escape from Tarkov meets Deadnaut Signal Lost type game, but from what I have experienced in the game play in this build (after first hotfix), I cannot see myself truly enjoying this game as is. Most parts are enjoyable, but the fun quickly leaves when even in decent gear you are immediately stricken by an enemy who causes bleeding, infection, and massive damage all in one shot. It seems to happen rapidly and changes a great run into an immediate game over for the player which is frustrating because the game punishes you via the movement system, the cover system, and the needing to micro manage your wounds and caloric intake. You basically have to choose at that very moment to die by combat or succumb to your wounds (it feels like an instant game over).

While I appreciate a level of difficulty to my games, the ramp up in difficulty in a run is huge at this moment and I found this happening a lot. I think this ruined the fun of the game for me, and I hope the devs can strike the balance between tactical and fun. Your character is too clunky to control and manage at this moment in time to overcome these odds.
