Is it just me or is Mercury insanely difficult?
I basically get one-two hit from the machine gun dudes and repeatedly keep dying on the second (well first if you go by map) planet. I can't even go back to the other planet anymore and grind stuff. I guess i have to start over..? :/

it seems so. mercury ship storage is empty for me and when i quit the game the current character progression is lost.

i completed mercury on first try somehow, stumbling through the mission. I propably got quite lucky picking up enough good guns and ammo and anti infection on the previous mission

on mercury itself i picked up full body armor from the first kill i got there.
in previous mission i picked up the assault rilfe, mini gun and the shot gun that has a drum magazin. That all worked quite well on mercury, including the end, despite not getting whats going on right away (dont want to spol it here).

I nearly died only once when i miss clicked and ran into these centaurs or whatever they are called.

sometimes the first run is the best...

I'm having to restart as well. Being unable to replay past missions to gear up makes the first Mercury mission difficult if you don't succeed your first run. I would also like to see a "Save Loadout" feature that helps with a quick start for those of us who like to throw ourselves at a wall over and over again.

This is exactly why they should allow to repeat previous missions you completed even in the demo. there are only 3 one time missions so loosing a marine or gear can ruin a play through on the demo.

it was cake for me. Lucky run I guess. However repeatable missions is a must to be honest.

Same, Mercury is hard stopping me with how nasty the guards are. I am cheesing the best I can with stun grenades but not being able to level up elsewhere makes this a rough ride.

Guys you need a grenade recipe and cigarettes recipe. That is enough to actually do this mission. Even with first default operator. Just pack 2 food, 2 cig, everything else nades(explosive ones). Nade multiple gatling guys to get ammo + armor + weapon. Go to temple, don't shoot sleeping ones, find target - do your job(if you have nades even better), leave. No need to even clear most of the map.

+1, for the meanwhile it's the best chance to increase your success on Mercury, but i disagree with all these people saying to add the option to repeat missions, the game is supposed to be a rogue-like and adding the option to "repeat" missions just defeats the whole rogue-like purpose of the game.
How about the option of adding side contracts, so you can level up and farm some gear, while still having the necassety to overcome challenges?

Would be much more cooler, then replaying older missions.

I can't even complete first mission, I get insta killed by the mutants or enemies that magically hit my head and kill me.

Use cigs. Going back on elevator up drops difficulty level(might be a bug though). Try to finish missions(or grab blue/green flash card) and extract early. Difficulty increases with time(UI element in bottom right)

Wait. The QMorph on the bottom right is telling us that those are the buffs enemies are getting? I just thought we were also infected and had to keep it down otherwise we died eventually.

If you can kill one of the guards you can get their armor and minigun and clean through the rest of the map. Hopefully by shooting them until they start bleeding out and getting infections.

It was in previous demo, escape from some scientific facility. Now it just highlights how tough enemies will be, next power spike and what not. Maybe if it gets too far it will kill you but so far going past 700 is not life threatening

Do you know what the button prompt is underneath the QMorph phase?

Looks like a placeholder, the game never unlocks the option or tells you what it does, at least all the time i have played for, then again i haven't got past Mercury once yet
