Amputation: I lost a limb, now what?

So I blew myself up because I didn't know the splash damage on the grenade was so huge. Wound up going through the rest of the mission hucking grenades as that was the only weapon I could equip and use.

Weirdly, I was in near perfect health otherwise. But I couldn't punch. So once my supply of grenades went I was killed shortly after. Are you just out of luck if you lose a limb?

Partly, as in real life, it's the influence of luck... Luckily in your new attempt you can be more careful with them!

Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something. Unrelated, but you're the second dev in as many days to throw up "luck" as a defining feature of their game. I wonder if it is becoming a trend.

I believe every good game has a luck aspect, otherwise things would just be too repetitive. Just look at a game that's survived for 13+ years so far with only 3 really big updates but with the same core mechanics of being lucky to spawn in an area with the resources you need to survive: Minecraft. Another good game with similar aspects is 7 Days to Die, and it hasn't had hardly any updates. Even more comes down to luck as well as your own skills and strategies to get through farther in the game.

It would be nice if autodocs could use 3 charges or something to rebuild limbs, cause losing a leg is more of an inconvenience than anything. I'm all for the challenge but to have a run be handicapped so hard because of a buzzsaw is a pain, not that I don't appreciate the fun of it, just wish it could be treated.

To clarify. There are no prosthetics in the game to replace lost limbs? No way to regenerate this limb? Future, space flights, robots, cloning... but no prosthetics or regen?

Seems like a huge oversight. Judging by no replies. Probably skip this game.

figured something out. if you research the cloner for your ship you can upgrade your guy that lost the limb to restore it
