When I run DFHack I get this error popup:

DFHack version mismatch

Not a supported DF version.
Please make sure that you have a version of DFHack installed that matches the version of Dwarf Fortress.

DFHack version: 51.07-r1

Dwarf Fortress releases supported by this version of DFHack:
v51.07 win64 STEAM
v51.07 win64 ITCH
v51.07 win64 CLASSIC

DFHack will now deactivate.
Check file stderr.log for details.
I'm getting the same, and I have raised a ticket on the Git. It looks as if there was a small hotfix released for DF main, so it is now sat at 51.08, and there isn't a separate release for 51.07 in the version options of DF.
Entirely speculation on my part of course

Same problem, it looks like Dwarf fortress belive he his on version 50.08 for some reasons, and the 50.07 version don't exist in the beta branch
same problem here!!

DFHack also updated but it doesn't force the update before launching the game (since it's a different "game" for steam), check your update queue and make dfhack update.

I actually went and forced it to update by changing version then bback to base, It's actually something where it doesn't have compatability, as it says its like version 50.07-r1, and it only supports 50.07

The latest version of DFHack (on steam and github) is 51.07-r1, which does not work with the current Dwarf Fortress version 51.08. This game hotfix was released today.
Workaround I think is in the Properties for bother Dwarf Fortress and DFHack, going to Beta, and setting both to 51.06, which will allow you to play, just without AutoCheese and such.

Oh, with 07 yesterday and no pending update I made the wrong assumption, sorry.
DFHack usually updates within less than a day when it's just about supporting a new version like this, so the only answer would be "wait a bit" I guess.

This is normal. Give them an hour or three to catch up.

we did not get advance notice of the 51.08 release, so we're going to be a bit behind on this one

Thanks for responding!

If I play a game that has been fully played with DFHack on without it for a bit, will it be OK? And can I just then save and continue that save with DFHack again once it gets updated?

Man it's so annoying they would push such a minor update so close to the latest patch. Thanks to the DFHack team for working so quickly.
