Report a translation problem
my network speed 10 mb.s, ping 5ms
I contacted support, which said they looked into the issue, and in their supreme wisdom, told me the problem was my Internet settings. My Internet settings had remained unchanged, my system was unchanged, everything on my end was unchanged except my installing the last update, for a game that has had a recurring history of this issue since it was launched (try doing a search for "network error" in this discussion group for instance), yet the problem is my Internet connection, when I have no issues with anything but Rise of Eros.
Maybe if enough of us, with our so called Internet connection settings changes contact them ( ask-riseoferos@pinkcore.com ), to inform them that it was most certainly not our Internet settings, they may try to do something about the matter. If not that, I guess we'll have to just quit, or hope a future update fixes the issue.
I guess there's a delay in its reporting, as it only recently dropped down to fourth, and I quite imagine a number of people being unable to log in had something to do with that, as I don't remember seeing it ranked that low before. If you look here on Steam, since the last update there's been multiple threads on the matter of being unable to log in, in different languages, and it's the same over at the Ero Labs forums. But it's surely our Internet settings that are to blame for that.
then I was able to get in to the point where it downloaded some extra files. After that was done it let me back in. Then I quit the game, disabled the vpn, and perfection!
I hope this helps.
Basically it's hitting some people from all over, and it looks like the issue is only getting worse over time, yet they still don't seem to want to do much about it. Any "solution" someone posts, just seem like temporary work arounds, so I'd say just give up on playing if it has hit you, and if it hasn't, think twice about spending money, as there's no telling if you'll get hit by this issue one day as well.
