Besides; delivering drugs like that into someone's system works a lot better with a dart gun than using a squirt gun and hoping they accidentally swallow some or that getting some in their eyes is enough to get the job done.
Anyways, DMSO (Dimethyl sulfoxide) has the unusual side-effect of permeating right through the pores of the skin and delivering whatever it's been mixed with directly into the blood-stream. And since it's a liquid, the manual explicitly stated that most armour (barring some kind of haz-mat suit) was useless against it. One of their chars was using it pumped full of tranqs to insta-KO guards, and eventually switched to a concoction of several drugs to cause an immediate over-dose.
Not to be outdone, Spoony (the GM) decided to implement his own version against the runners out of sheer frustration, leading to a Rigger modiffying drones with water turrets loaded with DMSO, and then it just escalated to ridiculous proportions until they just called the campaign off.
