Projection Mode: Perspective vs Orthographic
I can't figure out the difference, beyond one being a little close to my character than the other. Can anyone please enlighten me on what the difference is? I have heard on a few different forums people saying orthgraphic is better, but I don't know why. Thanks!

Orthographic is better because it gives you a perfect 3 quarters Isometric View. Perspective basically offsets the view down and to the left slightly... obscuring more stuff.

Perspective view, as the name suggests, gives you an illusion of 3D perspective when you pan the scene. It's more noticeable by observing the roofs of buildings in relation to the ground.

In orthographic view, the scene is completely static, like a painting.

Orthographic is basically Isometric while Perspective is Trimetric.

That is completely false.

In short, orthographic will render the world in all right angles and parallels without any imagined horizontal curve. Perspective will give you the illusion of a horizon where, for example railroad tracks, join up to one small line that disappears, in a slight curve or just straight.
