Love the game, but that fight has stopped me solid between Dodger's flaky decking and enemies hiding behind that door. I'd also recommend shotguns, as many people packing them as you can manage.
I managed the bureau just with Koyote, Dodger and myself (Elf mage) thanks to the fact that the rigger in my team already got killed on the ground floor (unfortunately I already spent my Doc Wagon kit, therefore I could do nothing to prevent him dying)
(I recommend btw. to position Dodger behind the desk ... this way the enemies won´t target him, but someone else of the team)
I'll try that with my next build. I kinda got angry and deleted that character :( But it's a very poor game that doesn't seriously challenge you at some point, right? and let's face it, this is the very definition of a run gone south...
And I personally love the game, I have'nt played any of the other games before, so I can't really compare it to the snes or megadrive ones, but this game is great!
BTW out of curiosity, how far through the game percentage do you guys reckon I am?
Neo: I thought it wasn't real
Morpheus: Your mind makes it real
Neo: If you're killed in the matrix, you die here?
Morpheus: The body cannot live without the mind.
The lone stars were a piece of cake that way, summoned water elemental dealt tons of damage, overview helped a lot, shotgun and aoe-spells every round cleared fast large troops. Only difficult part was the matrix :D
I use shaman with conjuring and lighting wall work well.
Also 2 mages with op BLIND.
My team without decker stay in los of enemies so theay must run througth lighting and air walls and lose AP. Also i use overwatch - button near weapon and spell.
In 4 attempt last wave killed my decker after success with 1 shot - crit 30+ from 19 range ... i cant save him and go to next part with only me and 2 mages.
Killed by black Ice? That doesn't kill you in the matrix, it attacks the real body so keep a mage ready for healing :D
You should get Dodger ...
his cheap price may indicate that he is a rather mediocre decker,
but fact is, that he is the most famous decker you can get (who already was part of several Shadowrun novels)
