how the hell do i use these things? i got this doberman at the beginning but all it does is follow me around. is that what it's supposed to do at this stage or am i missing something?

On your character, you should have a remote control, equip it in combat (big up and down arrows next to your current item) and click ON. It costs you AP to keep your drone on (since you are spending part of your turn controlling it), but it gets two moves giving you a total of three.

You need to turn it on. While your rigger is selected, change weapon with the large blue arrows until you have the drone control panel up.

While having the drone turned on, your rigger loses 1 AP, but the drone gains 2 AP and becomes controllable like a character, which nets you 1 more action overall.

Has anyone figured out how to equip 2 drones yet? I'm at the docks and I have the skill in drones for 2 of them, but no equipment slot has opened to allow the use of two.

Also does each drone use up 1 AP? I'm assuming no because when you couldnt move then, but I'd like to confrim that.

Also, the last guy didn't mention....you hve to physically click the "on" button on the HUD. So basically, it follows you around. When combat starts, change to it, the same way you change weapons with the up and down buttons on the HUD. Then, click the "on" button with the drone selected. After that, kick some ass with RC cars.

In order to use a second drone you have to have the appropriate drone skill, and then you need an extra weapon slot (or ditch your gun). Quickness unlocks additional weapon slots. Each drone takes 1 AP to control, so at the start you won't be able to move or act when controlling two drones. This isn't a problem if your second drone is a support that you only use occasionally (like the RoboDoc's medkits/grenades). Later on you will get an extra AP, so it won't be such a problem.
