Using an Item

I feel like a moron for asking for help, but I'm having some trouble using a health pack.

I've pulled it up from my inventory, I click on it, and then nothing... do I need to right-click on the character? Is there a button I'm not pushing?

What is the process of using an item, a grenade even, during combat?

On the main screen, there's a box at the bottom right hand corner of the window that looks like a backpack. You select items from the popup window during combat, not through the character screen, Took me a while to figure that one out too.

RIght, I select it then click on the character in need of health/blasting?

For those of you who are wondering, I figured it out :)

Use the pop-up on the combat screen, select the item and then click on the target. Double-click for a health-pack.

I wish it was on the other side with everything else. took me forever to find it when it was right in front of my face! What an akward set up.
