Thanks anyway!
I'll try to avoid ruining the experience in there, but won't make any promises.
there is a quest in there, that you need to find by talking to people.
you need to gain access to upstairs.
you need to access sub quest npc's computer.
you need to retalk with "mrs. Kubota" who will then allow you to leave.
(SPOILER ALERT!! THINGS WILL BE EXPLAINED HOW TO GET OUT!!)
the quest you need to accept in there is: "find possible whereabout of the bartender "Coyote". her computer has the info, however it's access is protected by a password. Her pet snake is called "Shadow", (found in diary in bed, if I'm not mistaken). her favorite band is "Starfire". (told by the "Mrs. Kubota".) and she has a poster of "Chicago" on her wall, left of the tv, which is her hometown. (sorry, can't remember the sentence of the questions)
in short:
pet name: Shadow
Hometown: chicago
favorite band: Starfire
you need to find out that she has a date with her boyfriend "Paco" 30 minutes later.
you then need to go downstairs and talk to mrs. Kubota, and mention that Coyote has a date with Paco, which Mrs. Kubota would like you to check out. this will allow you to leave the place.
(SPOILER ALERT!") the password for the safe next to the bathroom wall is: 342436, located in diary (if I'm not mistaken) which has various goods in it. note that you only get to take 1 item out of it. (at least I haven't figured out to access it twice)
//end of spoilers
hope this helps people out on the matter.. admittedly, I am currently yet to actually leave the "union", but the exit sign now actually has something to interact with. I'll return if more needs to be done.
take care all.
