Shadowrun Returns

Shadowrun Returns

Anyone else going to miss the dice rolling?
I liked the SNES shadowrun and loved the Sega version, but even in those games I really missed the dice rolling from PnP. The six sided dice rolling system was awesome, I loved having dice pools etc....and I kinda wish they could incorporate that in the background or something (so you could look it up if you want..and see the rolls, or just play seamlessly without it as well).

I actually liked Shadowruns setup better then D&D's....the ability to possibly roll really high numbers was just a blast, allowing you to make things be almost impossible...or require a ton of luck, to pull off, but still actually be possible.

It does make me wonder why simulated PnP games have never been made. Basically re-create a full PnP scenario.....where you can play as one of the virtual players (controlling dice rolls, decisions etc). The list of options could be quite large....but still not nearly as large as in a real game, but it could be a total blast anyway, especially if you allowed online multiplayer and could fill out all the players roles with real people (perhaps even allowing a real life DM to step in as well!!).

Basically VR DnD:)

Nope, not going to miss the dice, hated the dice.
I still have over a dozen d6 dices in my dice pouch just in case my friends want to play SR. Then again, being in Japan, not many people are here to play with.
Lolz the 6d rolls where insane at times in the old game.
I get enough hate from the dice in Warmachine, don't need a further excuse to threaten the cuboid random-number generators.
