Shadowrun Returns and Shadowrun Dragonfall are both standalone and complete games. I think the general feeling is that Shadowrun Returns was a pretty good game that was sadly lacking some role-playing elements people wanted and was too tied to a mission structure. Dragonfall was excellent and had more sidequests and character development. I think both stories took 10-15 hours to complete, so I'd recommend buying them both and playing them in that order if you're convinced you want both stories. If you only want one story you should buy Dragonfall.

Both games allow you to access user-generated content, many of which involve excellent and open-ended campaigns.

TBH I though deadmans switch (the original) was kinda Meh.. not bad, just meeh..

dragonfall is a much more complete version of the game. both the story and gameplay is better

Finished SR:R in 11 hours...playing Dragonfall with 15 hours and still haven't get the amount of cash for the "50k" payment...have to say that the second is quite an improvement but both are good imo...I would get SR:R first if u want to play in ascending quality order but if you got the cash, buy both and play SR:R first...that's what I would advice
