For that fight you need three priorities:

1) Stay alive
2) Kill enemies
3) Stop the virus from reaching 10/10

1 is pretty straight forward. Make sure you stay in cover as much as possible, use medkits when necessary, and don't let the more dangerous enemies get too close. 2 is a bit more challenging since they keep respawning, but it shouldn't be too hard. Don't hold anything back. Use grenades if you have them, because you won't be using them after the last fight anyway. If you have shaman spirits left, summon them now and sent them to the bottom left of the map to kill the mercs that appear there while you focus on the top of the map. The third one is pretty simple as well, just use the computers to open the vents and then use the big buttons on the ground to vent the virus and slow the process. Note that this will stun your character for 1 turn, so be careful no to get caught between lots of enemies or the dragon's breath.

After a couple of turns the big ugly guy with the machine gun will appear. If you kill him the fight is over, but he has some mages protecting him so it might be wise to, as they say, geek the mages first.

Once the big bad Orc is down, pick up the key card that he drops and put it into the console. After that the battle is won.

Well, not totally over. You still have to kill everyone who is left. Just the countdown stops.

This mission i found it's better to be lucky than good. I got better dice rolls with my fetishes the second time through so i wasn't down a person consistently to hacking/venting.
Achi Mar 10, 2014 @ 3:57am
You don't really need to hack, if you can kill the Orc fast enough. Full auto on assault rifle is your friend. Use haste on your best shots, and you can fire two full salvos in one combat turn.
Dorok Mar 10, 2014 @ 5:52am
Like Argh said this combat is a good time to use shaman spirits, can be rather helpful against the Orc or even against other enemies, but the Orc himself is more bothering. There's also chance you have to use some medkits. I even used a grenade of two if I remember well.

I wouldn't advise skip on Hacking, particularly if you have troubles in the combat. It just requires not panic, first hack, then unlock switch with a computer, hack the second, use the switch unlocked, unlock second switch with the second computer, use the second switch unlocked. Start it since the beginning, no hurry but don't forget it, you should be close to have finish before the Orc comes and then you take care of him and finish the sequence. But yeah to finish you must kill him, take the key and use it.

This is one of two times it pays to have Blitz/a hired decker handy. Reason being you want your (presumbably powerful) main character to be able to help with the fight.

Either Eiger or Dietrich can throw the Soviet grenades from the previous map for 1AP, which may be a better option than their weapon attack.

This is a good time to use any cram/flash you have handy.

For this mission I made liberal use of DoT effects as soon as mages started throwing shields around. Fireball/Lightning from spirit +glory's blades (bleeding+hemorraging stack) allowed to down the orc fast enough despite the shields. I only had to use one switch.

I just finished without having to use the switches at all. My main was a Decker/Rigger with the S Class Assault drone with a Sliver of health left (Mistakes were made <.<) along with the usual three. I used the 20% Aim buff on an enemy, had my drone shoot it, had them summon a Level 6 Earth Spirit by the south door (more to be a distraction and AP drainer than anything else), Haste my Sniper and have her shoot the crap out of a few guys. Killed the first wave, second comes in, killed them, the Orc and his Mages came in, reseting the timer. Had Ms. Claws pop her adrenal boost and run in to carve up the mages, with Sniper support, and then put a big bleed on the Orc and focus fire him.

Got the card to the terminal on 7/10, then just cleaned up the trash. Overall, not too hard. Oh yeah, I had my main running med kits because she didn't have a weapon of her own.

If you picked the taser earlier it's pretty easy, you just have to run your decker to the panel and deck the crap out of it, have Dietrich haste and +accuracy Eiger and let her snipe shoot the mage, with a little luck he'll be dead in two shots and you can focus your fire on the grenadier with Eiger's fourth move and with Glory. At this rate the reinforcements arrive fairly quickly and the two guys that come from behind have a high chance of sticking to each other so just spreadshoot them with Eiger till they die and Audran comes out.

At this point your decker should be long time out of cyberspace and you need to take Audran down as soon as possible. This is the part where the taser comes handy because it does -3AP which can stun Audran in two shots (I had taser on my decker with 4AP so i got two shots with reloading). So the best thing to do is stun Audran and snipe out the mages so they wouldn't stall the fight with their shield spells. And then waste the dude, he drops a key to turn the toxin off so you turn it off and take out any remaining resistance which shouldn't be difficult since the mages are out, the grenadier is long dead and only annoying melee dudes and a rifle guy might possibly still be alive.

So basically it's very useful to have the taser from before and to +accuracy your guys, especially Eiger and when Audran comes marking him with +accuracy

Sent Blitz to deck, ignored the mercs for the most part with Glory and my runner, used Eiger to kill people. It's best to not waste your AP on mercs for the most part and just roll hard on the contact points until Audran shows up. Then put everyone on him.

The exact oposite is true. If you have enough DPS you won't have to vent one single time because the fight will be over earlier. After about 4-6 kills Audran will show up and get buffed. You should then be able to kill one mage with Eiger alone (Haste +1), or use AOE on both mages and the Ork.

If you are able to kill both mages in one turn, you are then free to focus entirely on Audran and bring him down within 1 or two turns. Picking up the keycard and using it is a one turn action for one character from the two way cover point on the left side of the table in the middle of the room.

Also don't hack If you don't have to (DPS), the spot is inseanly open and Blitz can be used to attack as well.

If you have to vent, do so by pushing the button and activating a valve (characters will get stunned out in the open) - if you do it at the end of your turn you should have enough DPS to manage to keep the threat level low.

Just before you go down to the final level there is a store room with presumably big loot and probably some medikits etc., but you can't get in. Because the only emtrance seems to be some sort of secret door (you only notice a crack in the wall). I didn't find any way to get in. Any ideas on this?
harlekinrains Mar 11, 2014 @ 2:26pm
Its opened by using Drones (you can get a remote near by) and letting them explode on the inside near to the crack. I haven't done it myself, and there might be one bugged aspect to it, but thats how you open the entrance. Theres also a thread on it on this forum.
Eboreus Mar 11, 2014 @ 5:29pm
Well, I guess I stop playing. In the final hours it starts to get simply unfair. I'm down to cellars now with the scorpions and firedrakes. Well, I can outrun the beasties and let em eat each other but I can't fight anymore against the mercenary team which is waiting for me. I'm simply too low on hitpoints - all of my characters are barely yellow, two are red. Dietrich's healing is a laugh, don't have med kits anymore, don't have trauma kits, can't enter the storage room, because I don't have Blitz in the team to use the drones - and to be honest I was way too low on Nuyen after paying Alice to get a decent medical supply anyway. So I can't really correct the med problem, too, unless I go way back to a savegame before paying Alice. Maybe my team decision for the final run was faulty, too. Sorry, but lt's crappy game design if decisions you made hours and hours before lead you into unsolvable situations much later on.

And, by the way, the inventory system is simply horrible. You can't give items to other partymembers, you can't even sell obsolete items to make a few bucks. Selling my old decks or one or two old weapons might have given me the Nuyen to invest in better and more medicals before the final run - but not in this game, Johnboy. Yeah, as I said, I'm off ...
