What happens at the end of Dragonfall?
I hate timed missions and I'm not going to continue trying to beat it, only to fail when the virus timer runs out. Can someone tell me what happens in the ending?

Well you kill the orc and get a door key, you talk a bit with Vauclair and he commit suicide, afterward you use the console and then have to chose between releasing firewing into her body, giving the dragon to APEX or just not doing anything, afterward you can self destruct the base and leave. You get back to the home base and everyone talk about how its finally over and such, you can talk to some people in the city too and they have final comment.

Afterward it probably depend on what you chose, I let firewing get back in her body (talking to her it sounds like she attacked the city cause she was pissed human were destroying nature/plant), so I got contacted for a new mission and on the way in teh subway meet some guy (the representant of the golden dragon that was in DMS) he reveal that he was behind green attempt at finding his brother. You can then agree or not to work for him. You then get a text that tell you a bit about what happened, I got something about the golden dragon taking over part of Berlin.
...... its not a timer.. its a count.. you have to prevent it from going up....

Thanks a lot, I appreciate it.

I activated both nodes in the matrix and then clicked the two vents, the virus kept climbing. Maybe I missed something.

That only buys you more time. You need to kill the big orc.

And you need to re-click it each turn I think.
I had it on 0 when the ork showed up and then just focused on him.

I destroyed Apex, so it might influence my outcomes.

You kill the orc (Auren), Vauclair cops out and kills himself and you're faced with a choice : kill the dragon when destroying the facility or free him. I chose the latter as it had lots of dialogue options with checks. You learn that Firewing was a nurse dragon who got really mad at what the humans did to her green world when she woke up in 2012 after sleeping for ages. You give her some peace of mind and hope, and after you've released her no one hear about her anymore apart from the occasional sightseeing.

Meanwhile, the dragon from the previous game is really happy that you connected with that special nurse dragon and offers you a job. You also get to know more about what will happen to your team : the mechanical satanist is going after her cult leader, the military woman with survivor guilt recognizes you as a true leader, the washed out mage will stay with you for the challenges you bring and the loser nerd with attachement issues wants you to guide his life.

I don't recall hearing Firewing's reasons for attacking from her. Maybe I forgot or missed some dialogue options? As a result I said "Screw it, let her burn in the building like her victims." Hmm.

Have you speak with the sort of human form? It's that dialog that will let you know what happened. It requires some digging in that dialog but perhaps it's dependent of some check linked to skills or etiquette.

I'm curious as the the end text that gives you a run down of what happend afterwards. Does it change depending on choices? All I really had was Berlin was separated by a wall again and some dragon was assassinated at Watergate.

Yes.

The details of the ending changes in accordance to previous choices; but the big picture of the world is out of your control.

If you spared APEX then you have the chance to let the AI take over the dragon which is a good deal less appreciated by some parties. I personally did away with her, which also changes the ending dialog. Can't help but hope they release another official campaign.
