Dragonfall: Broken security drone?

I found the broken security drone from the vault and handed it to the drone/decker repair girl, but after watching the DVD videos and returning, she says the drone won't work unless I find a replacement "brain/part" for it. Where do I go next for this, and is it REALLY worth getting this drone? I have a feeling it's just going to end up being a strato-9 which would be nice to get for free..... but I kind of want to upgrade THIS round.

It's actually a custom drone, belonging to Blitz, the decker you can pick up in the hotel. Talk to him and you can give it back to him, I don't think you can actually use it. I'm running a decker/rigger, so I never bring him along, so I don't actually know if he uses it or not.

Ohh ok, well where do I find the missing "brain" part for him then?

You don't, she just fixes it between missions. IIRC all she says is that the drone's coded to only work for it's owner, not that you need to find stuff to fix it. I never had to bring anything back to her and Blitz's running it just fine.

Hmm she said it's brain was "locked" to it's owner and that it would need a replacement part to get it to work for anyone else. I guess if he's the owner it's trying to tell you to give it to him lol. That's too bad, it would have been really great to see a special drone come from a quest.

OK, so the thing belongs to Blitz. That's kind of odd. You would think, since he's there when you open the vault (since he HAS to be with you in order to get into it in the first place), that he'd at least mention the broken drone belongs to him and not just let you walk off with it without a word.

Technically you do - Blitz is also a Rigger so he'll have the drone with him anytime you bring him along.

If I remember well she says that the first time but if you speak with her again she'll explain it's impossible to fix without the owner.

You'll need dialog with Blitz to have this drone repaired, during dialogs it seems you have options to keep the drone for you, but I didn't tried and it could be just options without allowing it anyway, there's probably no alternate character build for Blitz without his drone.

Yea it would suck pretty bad to have blitz without his drone in the beginning. Sadly late game he does not upgrade it, and the drone never gains AP so it ends up being pretty ♥♥♥♥. I almost wish blitz specced for full decking/SMG since his SMG is not half bad.

Also, why the necro from what I can only imagine is the 30th page back by now? lol

About this drone, I read in some post it has a special feat but each time I totally forgot check it during a combat, lol.

It has the taser attack if I remember correctly.

Ehh yea I think it does have a tazer attack. The problem is it only reduces by 2 AP if I remember right, and has a really low chance to hit.

Ha yeah I tried it a bit, had forgot. Found a taser pistol, not bad I quoted -3AP but reload after each use means it's more a one use per combat.

Hi chums, I'm playing a rigger character in my DF campaign so I really want to have that drone for myself and Blitz is being a ♥♥♥♥ and doesn't want to give me teh codes even though obviously my main char is a way better rigger. Is there anything to be done about this, if you keep the drone do you get a chance later in-game to use it for your main character.
