Introduction + What is Dragonfall?

I'm new. Both to the genre and the series.
I'd like someone who introduce me to this game and genere. Whan can I expect out of this and for how much should it last if well-explored, reading everything, doing everything, and stuff.
Basically, explain me how the game is and how it works.

I also don't know the difference between this and Dragonfall.
Is Dragonfall the same game, but with extra stuff?
Or a whole another game?
Also, what's Chronicles? It looks like a completely different game.

Shadowrun Returns is a game with a distinct set of rules. ET: 15 hours
Dragonfall DC is a new game, set at the same time, with slighly modified rules. ET: 40 hours
Chronicles is a different game entirely with a focus on multiplayer. ET: unlimited, but probably gets old, at some point.

In the two main campigns, you are a relatively new shadowrunner who gets dragged into events beyond their control.
