If you have Dragonfall DC (stand alone game) and the DLC version for Returns, there is no reason to play the DLC version. Dead Mans Switch is still well worth playing.
As the 3 games (including Hong Kong) are not connected, you can start with either one. Dragonfall DC is generally considered the best, but all 3 are good.
In Returns you should be able to choose Dead Mans Switch and maybe Dragonfall if you have the DLC. In Dragonfall stand alone, you should only see the Dragonfall option.
It's easy to tell the campaigns apart. DMS takes place in Seattle while DF takes place in Berlin.
Since your profile is private I can't see which one you have, but if you post a screenshot of the screen after pressing "new game" it should be pretty easy. The main menu in Returns should have some dude with a mohawk and a gasmask, while Dragonfall DC has a white background with different characters on it.
That being said, Dragonfall is both much more polished and does more of an effort to tutorialize.
Might be rather painful trying to go 'back' like that, but that's one of those personal milage things.
