Shadowrun Returns

So which class / archetype?
I want to play the game on hard or very hard. Which class is the strongest in the main campaign dms? Thanks

I wouldn't recommend the harder difficulties in this series. It just makes the to-hit percentages really wonky in the computers favor. Nothing interesting like added enemies or such.

Still, if you're adamant, I'd go with a Street Samurai using combat rifles. They're great all.rounders that can handle near any combat situation.

And if you want a 'can do anything' I'd recommend dabbling in the following:

* Decking.
* Rigging.
* Charisma. (Only your PC can use this skill, by the way. So pretty important.)
* Enough Shaman for a totem, or a sprinkling of Mage enough for the Healing spell.

Know that sounds like a lot, but the Dead Man's Switch campaign is really generous with both the karma and money.

Still, the above should let you see a decent amount of the game. Just be careful with the cyberware—there's only six essence per character, quite a few bugs and no ingame way of regaining those points. So be sure to save before buying any chrome, and check your character for rounding errors on character creation if you get any of the tech skills.

(This gives you something called a data-jack at the start. Basically, future USB, but for plugging stuff directly into your brain.)

Returns is a bit special in that you have no constant companions. They pop up or go away as the plot demands.

So if you want to be sure to have access to rigging and decking in every scene.... then yes, you're main character needs to at least dabble in those skills.

That stuff is totally all optional, though. If you'd rather focus on pure shooting, you can do that.

So if you don't have decking / rigging you miss out of items / money and karma? And with shooting you mean ranged + rifle + quickness?
