Shadowrun Returns

Shadowrun Returns

The closest we're ever going to get to a Shadowrun movie...
...just got closer.

Has anyone seen the trailer for a movie called Bright? It'll be making it's way to Netflix accounts everywhere in Dec 22 of this year. And, while it's got nothing to do with Shadowrun, just by looking at it, it leaves a definite impression that it sure as hell was inspired by it.

Here's the full trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LXA87t0_3I0

That was my same reaction after seeing the trailer. It actually inspired me to finally picked up Shadowrun Returns after a long hiatus.Very hopeful the movie will be decent and keep the Shadowrun vide throughout.

Jhonny Mnemonic is still the best Shadowrun Movie out there. Nails it.

are you sure about that? To clarify, Johnny Mnemonic might be a good cyberpunk film (idk I haven't watched it), but it is not a good shadowrun film because cyberpunk is only one half of shadowrun.

I thought that was one of those movies that we don't acknowledge exists.

And a ♥♥♥♥ one at that. I doubt anyone would want to play shadow run if that was their first exposure to the setting.

Considering it was made way back in 91, and also remembering how utterly ♥♥♥♥♥♥ some of the stuff was back then(oh god, the early 90's sucked hard), it probably wouldn't have been that bad for their potential player base.

I mean I was born near the end of the 90s so I couldn't really judge it in comparaison to the rest of 90s stuff.

I was born in the early 80's; not trying to one up or anything, just saying. As such, I was kid in the early 90's and as a kid living though it...not so bad, if I didn't enjoy some of it outright.

As an adult looking back on it, though? Holy crap, that stuff was utter drek.

every generation has good stuff and bad stuff. Like being pretty much a 2000s kid my generation has the emoji movie.

Damn, Bright looks like a lot of fun! Thanks for the heads-up.

Edit: Gotta say, though, after watching it, "A Night's Work" WAS a lot more thrilling! :P
"Sally! Watch our butts!" I'd rather watch Sally's butt! Har har.
Will Smith needs bigger hair if he wants to compete.

i think, it delivers the message... it's something like this: either you understand what is going on, or you are a filthy casual.
