Logitech G27 or Thrustmaster T300rs
After searching around I finally decided between these 2. I probably wouldn't use the shifter much for right now on the g27 but I do like that it's there when I decide to use it so the wheel and FFB is more important to me at the moment. Does suck that if I do decide to add a shifter and pedals to the T300rs then it will cost another $200 bucks. Is the wheel and FFB actually that much better on the T300 than the G27? Has anyone used both that can help me make a decision please.

I've used both, I own a G27. The 300 is a better wheel but the G27 pedals are better. The 300 is belt driven which feels smoother and has more FFB feel IMO...more like a real car wheel and less snap-jerkiness with the gear-driven G27 if that makes sense. With that said, if you have the budget, get the Thrustmaster. But I'm perfectly happy with my G27 for less money.

I'm happy with my G27... I can't see myself spending $500+ on a good wheel with clutch so long as this one is available.

I'm debating on getting a G27 for this game, myself.
Trying to play with an Xbox One controller is a bit irritating.

I actually found the t300 on sale in my area so it puts it in the same price range as the G27 and that's the only reason why I'm considering it now. Sale ends today so I really need to make a decision. I still can't make up my mind though. This will be my first good racing wheel and I'll be using it for years so I want to make the right decision here. I hear from alot of people that the G27 FFB is awesome but I also hear people who move to the thrustmaster saying that the G27 doesn't compare to the t300. Very similar to what you were saying above. That it's smoother and more realistic. I'll be playing alot at night so is the G27 loud compared to the t300?

I have the G27. And I would say it's pretty silent. I too play a nights. Although if the FFB is set too high, then it will be noisy. But, if you set it right, it's good.

t300 is a much better ffb wheel, G27 has the better pedals. My advice would be to get the t300, and upgrade the pedals IF you find yourself racing a lot over the next x months

I'm sure the link is a joke but the funny thing is the cheapo wheel you linked is actually the one I have.. Lol now you know why I want to upgrade.

reason I ask is because I saw some videos on the G27 and there was alot of clicking and rattling sounds coming from the wheel. Hard to tell how loud those sounds actually though.

Kinda what I was thinking. If it's a better wheel then I could add pedals and a shifter to it later. Making the setup alot better than the G27.

ofc you can upgrade them, to either the cheaper :
http://www.thrustmaster.com/en_UK/products/t3pa-add

or the more expensive :
http://www.thrustmaster.com/en_UK/products/t3pa-pro-add

Or any third party pedals that goes direct to pc usb. Like :

or
Fanatec Pedals:

CSR Elite Pedals EU
ClubSprt Pedals V2

T300RS is a far better wheel than the G27 wheel.

The T500RS package is better as you get better pedals including a clutch. You can then buy the TH8 shifter and have a great setup.
