Best key binding setup for mouse & keyboard?
Just wondering if anyone knows what the most efficient control setup would be for mouse and keyboard. I've gotten some of the basics like WASD for acceleration and turning but I have trouble with turning and braking responsiveness so I'm wondering what to use for that. There's also settings for turn speed and stuff like that so wondering what numbers I should have for that.

Also I'm pretty new to racing games so can someone tell me if I need to use any of the other controls like the various gears and stuff or if those are optional?

I know everyone here uses controller, but if a rare person who uses k & m for racing games could answer that would be great thanks!

I'm using Mouse and Keyboard at the moment, until I get a G27. I use the mouse for steering, it's not perfect, but certainly better than using WASD or arrow keys, as you can do more accurate and small adjustments, if using the mouse for steering, I would suggest leaving the steering sens at 50, and set the Wheel/Steering Deadzone to 0. I also use the mouse keys for throttling and breaking, while Clutch on the Spacebar, and A & D for gearing down and up.

Dang man, I can't imagine....

I did play with a keyboard, and mouse and keyboard just experimenting, but my conclusion is that the X360 controller is well worth the $30, lol.

I have an xbox one controller for my PC, but I can't seem to do the manual gear shifts with that thing =D And I'm also used with the mouse and keyboard controls from Assetto Corsa. But getting a G27 wheel this week

I've never even owned a console and haven't used a controller for quite a few years unless a friend's Wii controller counts. No clue if it would be easier if my only real experience is M & K

If it's all you've ever used... it probably works well enough. I was actually surprised I could doa clean lap with it, and I haven't used a keyboard/mouse in a racing game for 8-10 years.
