Is it really hard to drive with XBOX 360 Controller?

Am I a noob or is it really hard to drive cars with XBOX 360 Controller? My cars get spinned off the track when turning even when maintaing speed and breaks properly. Driving and breaking assistance is not good at all. Please help. Crashed Mclaren P1 just after starting the engine

No, am using one... i have lowered the sensitivity to 30 and upped the controller filter (found on same page at the bottom) to 20 and its working fine.

You have to be smooth with the controls as tommy mentioned. You would be best to start with slower cars like the Caterham or Ginetta and build your way up to the LMP machines.

Are you downshifting and the engine rpm's are too high causing the tail end to swing around?

It's not bad entirely .. If you tweak out the controls the game its playable . However some cars behave so differently than others you may find yourself changing control schemes and sensitivities according to what race series your in .

I have an XBOX One controller and the game works great with a controller. Some cars are better than others with the controller, but it still works great. This is good, since this game is buggy as heck with my wheel.

No its ok.It's a lot easier than Assetto Corsa that's for sure but is a bit harder than say Forza or Driveclub.It can also depend on the cars.Some cars i can't handle but i think thats my low skill level rather than the controller

It's not that hard. Here, I'm using the X360 controller with no tweaking whatsoever:

Use preset 2 in controller options. Then keep the L stick pushed straight up at all times and slowly rotate L and R to steer. Handles just like a wheel.

Preset 3 is Forza like controls, but much worse. Way too twitchy especially in the corners when trying to make small adjustments.
