For those who have AMD GPUs

I asked the big boss Ian Bell the permission to post what he said about AMD's putting the blame on SMS for the perf's problem

We've provided AMD with 20 keys for game testing as they work on the driver side.

But you only have to look at the lesser hardware in the consoles to see how optimised we are on AMD based chips.

What can I say but he should take better stock of what's happening in his company. We're reaching out to AMD with all of our efforts. We've provided them 20 keys as I say. They were invited to work with us for years.

Looking through company mails the last I can see they (AMD) talked to us was October of last year.

Categorically, Nvidia have not paid us a penny. They have though been very forthcoming with support and co-marketing work at their instigation.

We've had emails back and forth with them yesterday also. I reiterate that this is mainly a driver issue but we'll obviously do anything we can from our side.

I´m really trying hard to remember a single case of seeing such a ridiculous gap that simply can´t be explained by raw computing power. A GTX 980 being 80% ahead of a 290X...Yes, the 980 is faster, yes it´s power consumption is less and yes, it is WAY more expensive but in none of the three categories by 80%.

They got no penny from nVidia? So why the entire game plastered with nVidia-Logos? Logo-Show, Tracks? Maybe they got "just" manpower and GPUs worth thousands of pennies but I can´t see why someone should do it without getting anything in return.

It´s even worse than with Dying Light on Day1 or FarCry 4 on Day1 while those somehow "magically" worked on the consoles with way less CPU+GPU-Power from AMD, so does pCars.

Thank god you software-developers that we customers can´t get our money back for such ignorant behaviour. If I could I would instantly return this game.

I posted in an other topic that I had an AMD290 3 months ago and it was fine, with 60FPS @1080 with settings @high(not ultra).

It'll be fix, just be a bit patient.......

No difference in fps. Funny thing, the really fps trouble for me is only first half mile in game. After it gets much better and its playable. truly you cant be competive with a 10fps start. Did some of you with amd gpu see the same ? If i use many Ultra Settings it goes up near 40 fps half mile after start. With little lowerings i also can reach 60fps. Race start and first ~ half mile stills a big problem ...

Running it with a 7970 and omega driver (not beta!!), it running pretty well with details on high (55fps-60fps average)...
