Logitech Wingman Formula GP
Hey guys, can anyone confirm if this wheel of mine works with Project CARS? You know, I just don't feel like buying it if I can only play it with my keyboard. Thank you in advance.

with force feedback ?
yes, it has FFB, I have the same one, but it is about 10 yrs old, lol, and still works great
How did you get the force feedback to work?

Which preset do you guys use for this old Wingman Formula GP, I only see newer racing wheel in the menu?

I´m also having trouble with the pedals, I can`t get both working with any of the Logitech presets. They work on some of the Thrustmaster ones, but still no luck with force feedback.
The wingman formula gp does NOT have force feedback. the wingman formula FORCE gp was the one with force feedback. it should say center wheel which one it is, basicaly if it doesnt plug into the wall it aint gona vibrate (from that generation that is)
The biggest problem you will encounter is the 180 degree turning with this wheel, 90 left 90 right, so you'll need to calibrate it in game, I have this wheel as a backup/ loaner for when a frend comes over for LAN, it is SOOOOOOO better a feel than a controler but once you try a modern wheel you'll never wana go back.
True Collie, my bad, mine is the formula force gp
I also have this old wheel lying around (well the Formula Force GP) and it's pretty much my only option. Any tips on setting it up? what profile do I use? do I need the wingman software installed (silly question perhaps but I'm scared of it knocking out my G700S mouse)? anything else?

So it works with a Wingman Formula Force GP?
yes, it does work with the Wingman Formula GP/ Force GP, no drivers necessary win 7 and later, but don't use a pre-set. Chose custom wheel, then use the auto calibrate. After that, it's not gona be a great experience tho. You can a just various settings of sensitivity and offset and tweak and what not to get a better ride, and if you work at it you WILL get it perfect.

I should also mention, after calibration you need to set the controols, left turn for left, break pedal for break ect.....
Don't use a preset? Ugh, I'm currently using the Momo Force preset cuz that wheel is from around the same time, in fact I think it was the best one could get at the time. Seems to work fine in testing but I only checked to make sure all the controls were working. I thought it would be most accurate for the Force Feedback settings since the motors in both wheels should be about the same unlike newer ones.

When trying to calibrate the pedals I've been having major issues though, they just refuse to work, the one or the other always dominates or prevents the other form working (no brake, no accelerator, once I brake it becomes stuck and I can't accelerate again, stop-starting brake when trying to reverse, brake only brakes but doesn't actually reverse etc.). So I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong there.
The only way I've found to get them to work is actually not to calibrate ingame but to use the key assigment settings after having calibrated in Windows.

My only option for getting another wheel would be the Speedlink Drift O.Z wheel...should I do that or stick to this ancient wheel?
Still no luck with the force feedback. (I have WingMan Formula Force GP)

I can get the wheel and pedals to work without any trouble, either by using presets or custom wheel.

The Thrustmaster presets works best for just pedals and wheel. Right now I`m using Thrustmaster Ferrari F430 Force Feedback (Combined Pedals) for my WingMan.
My Force Feedback is working fine...I think, can't be 100% sure as I think I broke one of the motors a while ago.
It's mainly just tire feedback, so you'll feel when the tires are up on the track border or when the car is carrying to much speed and threatening to spin out. I think that's all this old wheel has to offer but it's all I really need, it's enough at least to give me a smoother more controlled driving experience than my XOne controller can even if that seems to have more FF effects.
