Logitech driving force GT
Hey everyone. I can't get the pedal on my driving for GT to work in Project cars. Windows (8.1) does see them as when I go to control panel and controller settings the brake and acceleration cause the Y axis to change.

I do not have the logitech software installed though, but all other buttons seem to workwith Project cars.

Any help would be great.

Got the same problem as OP. I've followed your instructions so far DropnFbombs (thx for suggestions), but it still reports the Brake as "centre undefined". If anyone else has any suggestions please let me know! I'd love to be able to slow down before corners....
That's usually what happens when you select Combined Pedals. Have you ran the Calibrate feature built into the Game Controllers panel in Windows?

I had selected Logitech Driving Force GT, Separate Pedals. I have since found the solution - thanks to everyone for their suggestions.

The answer was that the Brake settings are set by default to "Joy Axis -Rz", instead of "Joy Axis +Y". To correct this:

- select controller as Logitech Driving Force GT Seperate Pedals
- go into Edit Assignments, under "Brake" it will say "Joy Axis -Rz"
- click on "Brake" to edit the assigned button.
- when it prompts you to select the new Brake button, stand on your Brake pedal for 5 seconds.
- your Brake should now say "Joy Axis +Y"
- go into Calibrate and calibrate the Brake & Throttle pedals
- click Finish, then Save

Hope this helps anyone who struggles with this problem.

Cheers,

If you had checked under Devices and Printers in Windows Control Panel etc.

Select your wheel and go to its options, you could have set pedals as seperate there and probably not had the issue in the first place. You set your wheel rotation and overall effects strength there as well. The rest is normally left at 0 for any good Sim.

Spring, Damper and Centering Spring only give fake force and used in arcade games.

No need for Logitech or other Profiler as they seem to cause issues with the game in any case for some, ie game locks up.

The only issue here is on a 10 or 15 Lap Karting Race. The wheel goes from 270 to 900 degrees randomly.
G27 wont recongise my pedals only the excellerator and then its on full. the menus go mad for me but think thats because it wont set up. ive tryed all the config stuff suggested no joy if you solve your issue please share

Lol no problem. The menu is a little unconventional and crowded. To be honest I don't see the exit button either!
It's where every Window App has an exit button. UPPER RIGHT CORNER. Big Phat X

I don't recall seeing an X, seriously I was looking there too when i did see a EXIT option in the rest of the interface. I'll have to check when I get home.

go to the troubleshoot section on steam find my thread the dev helped me set my peddles up
My pedals didn't work at first either. I had the combines pedals selected and you need to select the profile for the DFGT with seperate pedals.
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pc gaming. You can`t get ♥♥♥♥ to work. For everything you need to search hours and hours...
I plugged my wheel in, started game, everything was ok, except the problem with the brakes. So I changed the assignment and now my throttle won`t work anymore (won`t even recognize the throttle in the assignments). So I tried to install the Logitech Profiler, but I can`t install it. It always skips the installing part. And the internet isn`t a great help either.
