Good racing games have SPLITSCREEN
hey devs, your game will need local race action in the future for more fun with friends! We have missed this feature in Shift 1+2. Pls add splitscreen and code on!

Greetings, harryo

Completely agree, except for the fact that it wouldn't work

No split screen support in the plans. Bring another TV to your console LAN patry.

no, good arcade racing games on consoles have split screens, not racing sims, and certainly on the PC. I don't see how this work would with split screen, unless you plan on doing arcade racing with a gamepad, cos you both can't be sitting directly in front of the monitor with a wheel and pedal setup.

But they won't sell two copies if they add splitscreen.

No splitscreen needed. Please don't waste the time making it, it's pointless.

Just because split screen doesn't suit your requirements doesn't mean it isn't a huge requirement on the platforms this game is trying to sell on - especially SteamOS. Not everyone will be using a G27, there are a lot of people interested in the game that will be using controllers - and having split screen should be under consideration. It isn't pointless just because you don't like the idea.

1080p is barely enough resolution to look far enough ahead, cutting that in half would be silly. Good racing games strictly do not have splitscreen (rfactor, lfs, iracing, assetto corsa). Please don't encourage the developers to waste their time on a pointless addition. There are plenty of arcade racers you can turn to so you can play on the couch with your controller.

no splittscreen? no buy! simple as that

No split screen support is in the plans. This is not a kiddie racing game. This is a racing simulator. If you're asking for splitscreen support this is not the game for you.

wow so much morons here....

I don't see how this work would with split screen, unless you plan on doing arcade racing with a gamepad
you know that the game(yes.... a game) is made ALSO for the PS4 and Xbox One? So stop beeing an elite douche that pretends that everybody will play that game only with G27 wheels......

1080p is barely enough resolution to look far enough ahead, cutting that in half would be silly
just wow....
Buy a fcking 4k monitor/TV if you can't see

This is a racing simulator
This is not the DCS of racing games, quit the attitude....
You should tell the boss (Andy G) that his son should not play with a PS4 controller

To the OP:
+1 for splitscreen
It's very doable for PC but I think we wont have that because the consoles won't be powerfull enough for that

Split screen isn't going to happen, non of the consoles (and most peoples PC) doesn't have enough processing power to run the physics engine (must the tyre model) for two player cars at the same time.

The AI uses a much simpler physics so it uses much less CPU.
