AMD video cards neglected
I Signed up for this concept of a community financed racing game 21 month ago. I thought that this would not only give the PC racing croud a great game but a game without bias from any of the GPU or CPU companies.
I was wrong the developers favor the Nvidia cards and they always favored Nvidia,I switched from Nvidia to AMD cause it makes sense since all major consoles have signed on with AMD hence sinced most console games are ported to PC having a GPU from the same company would only help.

Please Optimise this game for Radeon GPU's please

We do not favor anyone, we work closely with both. And there have been performance improvements lately for both sides, we even got to the point were we had to remove an optimization because it wouldnt work with AMD cards, "penalizing" nvidia users. :)

Go read a bit more about AMD drivers optimization and how they work, consult info on what are the similarities between developing on PC and Next-Gen consoles, you'll see it's nothing like you imagine and much different.

I imagined that the reason of existence of DirectX (11), apart from funneling the PC game market to the Microsoft Windows OS, would be to unify different brand videocards behind an API so that game developpers would not have to worry about driver optimisation or favoring this or that platform. (like in the days of Voodoo 3Dfx, first hardcore 3D accelerators on PC)
So in my theory I would go blame AMD for not supporting through their hardware or driver software well enough the specific DirectX functionality used by Project Cars (I have an AMD HD 7970).
Because taking away from Nvidia to compensate for AMD non-optimisation is giving the wrong singnal to AMD.
And frankly, this video card development is going slow enough already.

If your theory is right then every game relesed for PC would run like crap do to poor AMD driver optimisation and that is not the case, the problem here is that sms is playing favorites and people like you with a democrat like approach to the issue doesnt help.

It's not a theory it's a fact, check Tomb Raider, Battlefield 4 (non-Mantle), Bioshock Infinity FCAT results and see for yourself. All these games are AMD Evolved (Optimized for AMD) and even so they get poorer results. So please don't come here and accuse us of being biased.

I run an AMD build ,fx - 8350, crossfire HIS 7970 3gig and run this game on 3 screens no issues. Running the latest beta driver, I think it's 14.2.

I hear this brand arguement all the time as I'm sure everyone does. I'm sure there are Intel/Nvidia builds that will out perform mine but I couldn't be happier with my Price / performance margin.

Exactly Corporate and not only that but the recent drivers from AMD already show a increase in terms of performance. With DirectX 12 now in our sights more optimizations and improvements will surely be felt along the way.

Every Nvidia-partnered game - "The Way Its Meant To Be Played" always ruined AMD's performance. It can't be a coincidence. Also Tomb Raider and Battlefield 4 favours AMD cards. The 290 beats the 780 in those games by a couple of FPS which is good. (optimisation for both parties).

But when a Nvidia-sponsered game (optimisation for ONE party) not only Nvidia GPU gets the upperhand but the AMD cards are simply left behind. Need For Speed Shift 2 for example has integrated PhysX and it runs crap on AMD hardware because of this. Any game with the Nvidia logo just ruins everything like console exclusivity.

So I am not surprised SlightlyMad is doing the same path as they did with Shift 1 and Shift 2 - partnered with Nvidia again.

Earlier I watched an IGN video and saw Nvidia logos inside your own game.

Eg 8:24 & 8:35 of the video.

As someone who has both the game and an entirely AMD rig, it runs just fine for me.

I do not Agree at all with most of the Nvidia ''protectors'' arround here:

I just Changed a GTX680 to a HD7990.

This HD7990 destroy the TITAN in most Benchmarks, many times being needed x2 TITAN to get the SAME or similar resulta as the HD7990

My surprise have been Epic when I am almost getting same FPS in a GPU card that is in other games 4 Times more powerfull in terms of FPS:

Here you can see some Examples:

So: WHAT IS GOING ON? DX11 DRIVERS? AMD LAZY GUYS? NVIDIA PARTNERSHIP?

I don't know, but some one have to do something

You are aware the HD7990 is dual GPU and TITAN is single GPU? That'll be why it "destroys" the TITAN.

You got the wrong point.

My bad, but im my defence that sentence brutally murdered the English language.
lol sorry for my English! I have to improve it !!! ;)

What I am trying to say is that it is not normal at all getting the same FPS in a GTX680
than in a HD7990.

HD7990 is much much much better in all games I have tried! it is double or more than GTX 680 in terms of FPS with everything in MAX settings.

I just bought a Oculus DK2, and I have got the ''supossed gaming most powerful card in market" to be always over 60 FPS in MAX setting no matter what.

So for now,HD7990 in PCars it's Getting same or less than a GTX680, Getting arround 20-30 FPS with thunderstorm and MAX settings

That made me become mad! and more than that is not knowing if there is a solution and when is that solution comming!

Its probably because the game doesn't have crossfire support yet, so basically it is running has you only having a single card, in your case a 7970 i guess.

This is just sad. There is really no need to level the hardware playing field.
