No Audio (Sound) over HDMI

Hi everyone,

I have an msi laptop (dominator pro) with a Geforce GTX 980 M and I get no sound over HDMI ouput on my TV in pCars. On all of my other Games, Videos and Musics, I get sounds over HDMI.

Can someone help please.

Check your audio settings to make sure it switched to the TV or sound system name. I have mine going through my ONYO and sometimes have to change it manually.

Right click on the Volume icon in the task bar (lower right).
Select playback devices.
In the screen where you see your sound devices, right click and select show hidden devices.
With pcars running, see which device is outputting the audio. You may need to enable another HDMI port.

Hey, I ran into this problem yesterday and I thought it was a sound issue but the fix was turning off the Nihimic 2 app that comes preinstalled on my MSI laptop. Hope that helps.
