Stick or Paddles

I've been playing with the added realism of racing just like the actual cars as to whether to drive stick shift or with paddles according to the PCARS database. I was just curious if there are others here playing this way. This definitely adds to the fun using my sequential stick shifting DFGT on certain cars:

I use mostly paddles...but if I'm tinkering around for fun then I use a shifter, especially for the older cars, does improve the enjoyment I find as well :)

the sequential stick on the DFGT is cool, but, not realistic as a stick shift. You would need a clutch and at least a six speed H pattern shifter for "realism".

I have a clutch with my Fanatec CSR elite pedals and I'm good with my DFGT sequential stick

I race mostly GT3 so paddles all the way FTW!

depending on the car ,, i use both paddles and shifter ( h-shift with clutch ). some cars i find dont shift correctly if using stick in a paddle shifter car and vr vrs , plus is adds to the realism .if you dont know what the car has for shifter just go into incar view and watch the hands when gears shift . if you dont have an H pattern shifter and a clutch i highly recomend getting them, it makes the game SO much better and more realistic ,even though its still just a vid game , it feels a sh*t ton better imo . cheers

i use whatever the car comes with. if it comes with paddles, then paddles it is, and vise versa. it adds a level of enjoinment to the game.

I use what the car comes with (as Whityford has mentioned)...paddles, Sequential or H-Pattern as I have all these choices...a must for best immersion...only my opinion and personal preference.

I vote for stick. Buy a heusinkveld shifter + Th8a/Fanatec/SSH shifter. However, paddles are great for F1 or Karts.

I used to have a G27 but recently upgraded to a T300RS, purchased a 'Ricmotech Thrustmaster to G27 Pedal Adapter' so I could use the G27 pedals, Purchased 3x Thrustmaster THA Shifters, set one up in H-Pattern plugged into the PC via USB, plugged the 2nd TH8 shifter into the T300RS wheel base and use it in Sequential, so I can alternate between Paddels and Sequential in Game just Brilliant) and the 3rd TH8 shifter is set up also in Sequential plugged into the PC via USB but use it as a Handbrake (Fantastic in Dirt Rally and any other Sim that supports Handbrakes)
My rig set up is at the end of this short You Tube video I made...at 3:17 if you wish to see how it is all put together.
I used manual H-Pattern with Clutch in the video to do the Burn-out and change through the gears while driving and near the end I used the Handbrake to do a 180 handbrake turn to drive back the otherway...best immersion ever

Very nice setup. Believe it or not, the G25 comes with Paddles, H and sequential stick, as well as a clutch.
