Oversteer Problem
Does anyone notice some or not all cars have persistent issue of their rear losing grip when I oversteer too much? I have all driving assist on and they still falter!

- Add a few clicks to your rear wing... But not too much or you'll cause chronic understeer.

You could tighten the front of the car... But you really shouldn't alter one end of the car to fix the other end, as it's going to cause more problems in the long run.

It's all basic tuning techniques really.

Maybe you need to learn how to drive RWD cars properly?
the car i was driving was the touring Renault, was that a RWD car?

The Clio is FWD, so yeah they are very tail-happy.

Increase your rear camber and tighten the rear sway bars a fair bit and you're laughing.

DON'T hit the gas until the back of the car points the way you want to go and stay off the curbs.

Front wheels control everything on FWD cars, so DON'T be on the gas or brake mid-corner or you will go wide and off the track fast. Only brake in a straight line.
Okay so I have make some adjustment to the chambers, slip differential, and slow rebounds, I am happy to say the car is not slipping the rear end anymore! Those settings are responsible for oversteer related functions and the deceleration that causes the pain :steamsad: And yes, I often let go of the gas and lightly brake near or during a turn.

All driving assists on dont exactly mean it wont falter, mean only it will give you more confidence on using more throttle and brake without losing so much the control of the car.
If you:
- use as smooth as possible inputs
- find a good racing line
- brake only on straights
- steer for the turn only once
- through the turn use only throttle
- before you completely release brake start using some throttle
You wont lose control of your car and will be able to drive faster.

No setup adjustments and all assists off (but auto clutch):

You can see I started doing 56.9 and ended with 49.8 (I am not a fast driver but trying to improve).
Just drive trying to find the braking and turning points, paying attention to track cues for braking and turning points, looking for more turn exit speed to carry more speed through the turns, and your lap times will improve almost lap by lap untill the limit of your skills.
With daily practice of this, your skills will improve and so how far you can push the car to track and car limits.

Mistakes will happen, you may go offtrack or even spin trying to find the car limits, braking points, turn points, where you can already use more throttle, etc, but by the end of each practice session you will improve your skills, and your time, even if just a little bit.
