GT4, GT3 cars are 7-gear dual clutch transmission, controlled by computers?
GT4, GT3 cars are 7-gear dual clutch transmission, controlled by computers. So why the hell do the gears change so slow in this game, should be instant like a sequential gearbox?

They do change ok I've never noticed any delay

what is it your looking for...more realism?.....its not an issue that ive heard folks complain about...and the timings between gear change depending on what mechanism and settings you use :)

Some will not allow a downshift until revs are in correct range (my understanding is to prevent gearbox failure).

It also depends on what is allowed for tuning. For F1 cars you make it change slow or superfast depnding on how you set it up. As for GT3 or GT4 cars I'll take a look to see what I can do. Ok, I just looked at it and there isn't much you can do except for changing acceleration as far as gearing goes. For that car I would just concentrate on the radiator and the brakes. Brakes first really. Find out out how much you can close the brake duct. Then understand it will affect the aero dynamics of the car in the way that it turns. Make adjustments to weight distribution and front aero to compensate for how it will affect turning. I haven't checked all the cars but I'm assuming its the same rules for all GT3.

They seem to shift pretty quickly to me.
