Do you launch the game with or without the profiler?

hello

Project cars can be touchy. I heard the same from another user on Windows 10 and he could play assetto but not project cars. Do you by chance have any controllers connected?

just keyboard and mouse
the game also works with my rumble pad 2 (if it is plugged in)

I was just checking out the forums for Pcars and someone was having the same issue back in 2015. I didn't know that wheel was out that long ago.

So when you go to controllers your wheel does not show up at all? No picture? Is there anything that shows up or is it just blank?

I just looked through all of the wheels. The G29 does show up but the picture is not colored like all the others. In the upper left hand corner for controllers does it say G29 for you or does it display something else?

the g29 and the g920 are not colored - but i think thats just design - right!?
it displays "logitech G29" an it is similar to the other wheels, just a nother name for the divice

ok so it is automatically selected.

Can you try editing assignments? Do they already look correct or what's going on?

Something else I would try is unplugging the wheel and changing the switch and then reconnecting. Only as a last resort though.

I had to remap the Pedals for them to work

I have the G920 and PC uses the Windows calibration fine. I didn't bother with the calibration utility in the game.
Go to control panel, choose devices and printers and you should see the wheel under game controllers. Click on properties then under settings tab is calibration then follow the prompts.
This is handy ESPECIALLY with the Logitech pedals that have the stupid rubber stopper in them like the G920 has. You can calibrate the pedal to work within range rather than tear them apart and void the warranty.

the windows-calibration works fine, but not in ProCars
i already changed the switch, an do a lot of reconnects

I think he means go to "options and help" "Controls" and "edit assignments" in project cars. There you can assign them again. That's if it's recognized at all.
