Game "not responding" as soon as it starts up

The first day i downloaded the game it worked, and i was really enjoying it, but the next day when i launched it, it crashed on the splash screen. Thought it might be a one time thing, but its gone on now for about 3 days. Help is very apprciated.

More information is needed. Things to bring up. Does it spit out an error message when it crashes? What kind of computer is this? Laptop or desktop?

I click "Play Game" and it gets to the first splash screen and just stops. i ahve to pull up task manager and end the whole process. It's a desktop i built.

if your gpu is overclocked,put the clocks to default.If not check the cache of the game.After that idk

Already verified Game cache but made sure GPU was fine and rest to default. will have an update in a minute.

:/ Have you tried uninstall/install again?Which nvidia version you have?

Also,what is your specs?

I've been avoiding uninstalling because my internet is trash and will take literally 2 days to redownload. Im using AMD 970 but the drivers are all updated

Delete thsi file
C:\Users\%username%\Documents\Project CARS\graphicsconfigdx11.xml
and also this one
%comspec% /c cd C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\*9* && explorer 234630\local\project cars\profiles

The second and first one paste into Windows Explorer, not Internet Explorer.
It will open the locations for you.

Restart ghane, do you also have a logitech wheel, if so launch the profilfer before launching pcars otherwise it will do what you are describing.

i dont have a wheel, but iahve a logitech keyboard and im wondering if thats whats doing it... but i have to wait for it to reinstall. then ill try what youre saying if the problem persists

Dont worry about reinstalls mate, it wont do much if anythign at all.
Just need to look for another solution.

We would still need to knwo the CPU & GPU (Graphics card) you are using mate.

Ive got an ASUS Radeon R9 380 GPU, and an MSI 970 motherboard. CPU is an AMD 8350 8 core 4 ghz.

tried reinstall and still the same probs

launch the game with no open windows on the desktop, if it hungs up then do "CTRL-ALT-CANC", close the windows of task manager and click on the PJC's icon in the bottom bar of the desktop
