How is the AI difficulty?

Hi, I want to say i tried the game before, in a friend´s house and the AI felt pretty weak, specially in the rain. It was about one year ago btw, they patched the game about that in the meantime? Thanks.

On beginner difficulty, they are jot-bob. You have to adjust difficulty level.

Yes, i mean at 100% difficulty level with all helps off. I did a race at Donigton without getting used to the game and overtaked every AI before the first lap was completed.... it was such a disappointment.

By the way... beeing 1st after 1st lap might be easy ... If you start in the 2-3 first rows... also if you use a formula one against Renault Meganes

No, that´s because AI sucks, they are to slow on corners. To much braking. I started in last row with the same car... lets be reasonable.
I notice how the AI always brake so strong and deep under the corners. To much braking really.

That's just generic race forum trolling.

The AI in pcars is generic (slightly below par), AI-on-rails, race AI. It cannot apex properly, it has 100% traction at all times, and it will intentionally attack you at every opportunity.

PCars is closer to a demolition derby than a racing sim. There's actually LESS ramming playing online.

Kuru@ Yes they apex horrible, and they always brake late and hard, we all know how that is not the fastest way around at all. Make racing on middle pack almost impossible. And the starts, the AI always start so bad? I mean with other cars? They are stronger in faster cars?
I would like to buy this game because i saw it with a low price in allkeys shop and the graphics are amazing and the feel is not bad, a little arcade but good. I was looking for a good single player and the game have also career mode. That would be perfect with good AI.The racing game i play more is iracing so i dont need the game to play multiplayer, i was just asking in my inicial post if the game was patched in a way AI would be stronger. I guess it was not looking at the answers i got before yours. Thanks for your reply.

I found Formula rookie Ai in the wet broken.

I've played a long in time in GT5 and GT4 with AI at 85% and it was pretty good.

Today I've started a new career in open wheel with the Formula rookie : even at 90% AI sucks and I am 3 to 4 seconds faster than everyone for my best lap.

Lower classes are much easier at level x than more prestigious classes at level x by design.

true story ! single seater ai can be down right brutal aggression wise and will end your race quickly if u fight them at the wrong time. It's usually fairly predictable when that is though so u can work around it mostly. Still made me lol :)
