Serial Number

I bought the game on steam, yet it won't let me play without typing in a cereal number. When I type in the steam product code, it says it's wrong.

Why is this happening?

Steam product code is not Serial Number :-) Steam will let you know about your serial number, when you start to play a game.

If you right-click on the game icon you can select "view cd key".

Remember you have to take out the lil lines inbetween the letter blocks. If you don't it won't work.

try offline
i found i the same problem (or at least similar)
first code didnt work online
got offline tried second code worked like a charm
(copy and paste, did not check caps)

every now and then i need to refresh the codes (steam forgets them for some reason)
if offline work but you need the code start it online then quit and fix it offline

For me it worked only after I removed the hyphens of my Key and I had to use the Expansion key.

It worked for me with hyphens. Just go to your Steam Library, right-click Grand Ages: Rome > Manage > CD keys and copy the one for Grand Ages: Rome Expansion. After submitting the timer counted up to 9 seconds and it applied.

I did need to manually copy over my base game's character into the folder, then the expansion will import it for you.
