I've capped out my Poison resist and have about 20k+ health on my mage. But poison just rips me apart.
I've had my entirely health filled up with poison damage and had to chug so many potions to counter it.
While not all perks are visible. From the stats page I have.
16.7% damage reduction from Vulnerable enemies
15% damage reduction from close enemies
23.8% damage reduction from enemies. There is an additional 30% damage reduction from the passive incinerate skill.
All though while my barrier is up poison won't do anything.
I did notice now that there is a stat in the paragon tree for damage reduction against damage over time.
Which is why I'm guessing it does so much damage against me. I haven't seen this anywhere else in the game.
One other thing to remember is those poison pool can stack. You might be standing on a dozen of them at once. If it's from getting hit by the poison enemies you'll need to mitigate the physical damage more to lower the poison.
It's more about several monsters like spiders all apply poison at once and I see my entire health bar just turn into that green ish color.
Poison in games literally only have 2 sides.
Utterly useless.
Brokenly OP.
Doesn't matter which sides that gets it.
