if you want to pay 30% more, yes ;D

It's free on Gamepass if you can find a promotional offer. Even if you get a month for a $1, you'll see everything you'll want to in that time frame.

When it comes back on sale for $35, then yeah to me it's worth it but not at $70.

It is currently free to play for the next couple of days on bnet, and I have the other diablo games on bnet so chances are sooner or later, probably much later I will buy it over on bnet to keep them all together, well unless there is a massive 75-90% off offer on the steam version anyway, then I will probably buy the steam version.
1. Default price a complete ripoff
2. Full of microtransaction scams

No. Play something else.

Micro transactions do not bother me in the least, I have enough self control to never ever pay these sort of games money, I might just might if they are account wide, buy bank or inventory expansion, or more character slots, but never ever anything that is a consumable, but even that would be very dependent on how much they are.

I won't even argue point 1, because 70 bucks is the default price for AAA games now and is still insanely cheap considering the inflation on all the other things in the last 20 years.

But to the second point:
When was the last you ran into a designer store and yelled "This is all a scam"?
Never? So why do it here? If you don't like the prices of cosmetic items, just ignore them, nobody is forcing you to buy something the same way nobody is forcing you to buy a jacket for 200 bucks. WHY would you care if someone buys it? This is so strange, really.
Or maybe you just feel inferior in general because you can't buy those things but are too afraid to yell at those people in real life, but I guess the internet anonymity...

If you aren't 100% certain whether you will stick with it for the long haul, absolutely no way. What with Microsoft's acquisition of Activision-Blizzard you can now get shorter term access with Game Pass for PC. Game pass is always a good deal for those games you aren't sure about because if it sucks then the good news is that that game was only a tiny part of what the subscription covers.

You would probably need about 9 months worth of game pass before your expenses break even with buying full price here, and in that time you will probably find a sale if you decided you were in it for the endgame and the extra premium junk.

The game pass version still forces you to use a battle.net login so unless Blizzard are openly enforcing it as a joke, I don't see why saves would not carry between both vendors.

Not true, they are quite open with there in-game shop and battle-net. Nothing forced, nothing scammed. Plus none of it is p2w and the stuff you get from Battlepass is top quality.

As for the price, this is now the norm for near all AAA titles.

$1 month deals are gone for good. Only new customers can get 14 days $1.

I bought on Battle.net 5 days ago standard edition for 34.99 eur, just refunded gonna wait for steam sale and buy here, reasons i wish one day to buy Steam Deck, second reason all games on one launcher is super convenient , and everyone knows steam is the way , only reason i keep Battle.net is WarCraft 3 , if it one day comes to steam gonna unistall Battle.net i guess.

Prices on sale are same, just wait week or two, or wait till summer sale

If you have it already on battle.net, then no. Otherwise, yes.:47_thumb_up:
I want to play the game on Steam with my friends

If you have a steamdeck then you should only buy on steam when on sale.

Honestly, tried new season with the free trial and the game still sucks.
There still are no drops, only elites drop and only chests. Hordes of regular monsters annoy your travels blocking your path and they don't drop anything.

Game still suffers completely bad skill tree design and unbalanced classes with some being useless to play solo and others OP af.

Why buy it at all?

Wait for a sale and get it anywhere...Bnets pretty good tbh..in game whispers get transposed to their launcher and you can whisper people outside of the game on game
