what am i supposed to be doing to get the currency? i thought it was just killing mobs but i'm not receiving anything

Have you finished the story campaign yet? Seems to be a requirement.

And the mobs (and other event stuff) only shows up in Fractured Peaks/around Kyovashad, the area will be tinted puple on your map.

Theres an event NPC in Kyovashad, talking to it will trigger the event.

Yeah the event is just dumb. It's limited to one small area where the event enemies are also limited.

Would have been better to make all enemies have a chance to drop the currency so you can still participate no matter what you are doing.

In large areas there are these imp creatures which, when defeated, give you material to make to coins.

I was able to find those enemies on a character who has not beaten the campaign, but I have beaten the game on another character so that might influence things?

Nah, from what I gather, The event will show up before you finish campaign, but the event spawns will be very little up to non-existant in the area.

Having now played on my character who completed the campaign, yep. Spawn rate is a lot higher
