is stupid i cant just transfer my character to new seaon but after some break i enjoy lvl up again
D4 also has seasons with goals, new content and bosses.
PoE had years of support and updates. It actually had a lot less content after its release comparing to D4 after release. And yet even though it got so much content including new league mechanics - most people still end up running same old Atlas Maps killing same bosses and just getting bigger numbers. D3 had seasons, but you would still collect same sets, run same rifts and GRs and once again just get just bigger numbers. There might be some artificial weight behind this, some goal or plot - like conquering timelines in LE or Atlas of the World while hunting primordial God-like beings in PoE, but at the core it’s the same nightmare dungeons from D4 where you repeat same content.
For me personally the goal in D4 as in any other ARPG is to simply have fun slaying monsters. Experiment and make interesting builds in the process without looking for guides, see how far I can push those. And I would also try out new seasonal mechanics like becoming a powerful vampire in season 2 or raiding vaults full of traps and treasures in season 3. If I am bored I would just put the game on pause and do something else until I see some new update that takes my interest. As I did and currently having a blast with Inquisitor Martyr running Atlas Maps Void Crusades modified with Tarot Cards for that extra reward/challenge, looking for gear and combining together runewords Psalm Doctrines to make my gear even more powerful. Once again just killing same old monster and bosses on the old maps while my numbers go up.
