For fun, yes why not?
If you want to make a living with that, I would not recommend it.
Yes, of course. If you want to be more powerful it's great to have them maxed out for your build.

Also, they are realm-wide, which means if you make more characters before Season 7 ends, you get to use all the already-leveled-up witch powers on all your characters in the Seasonal Realm!
So far mehh for me .. but yeah I'll take a 15x multiplicative on overpower and 25x on core for free anyday.. so yeah nice boost to ur damage.. other powers seems meh for now probably needs a dedicated build.
Yes they are quite powerful actually especially when you level them up and honestly who doesnt want a frog following you around the whole time.
Witch powers are... OKish. Not great, but they buff your damage a bit. The ressource you need to upgrade them (and also all available ones) are shared between all of your characters on seasonal. That way its not so grindy, as you often do these headrotten events to level up anyway.
You will be able to level them up pretty quick just playing the new season content, so it's not really a "grind" per say.
Yes would recommend upgrading the 5 you are using, until you unlock their respective added bonus on the required rank. Some powers do not gain much benefit from upgrading to 20 so its up to you. Seasonal mechanic is rewarding enough to grind it and since they buffed the root gains you are probably gonna get bottlenecked from gem fragments when crafting occult gems, so might as well blast those upgrades.
there isnt much grind in witch powers themselves, just one full day of grinding headhunt will give you all the ranks needed to achieve extra power in all 5 powers of your choice

the issue is with the gems, you need both different gem fragments, fugitive heads, and rot to be able to make 1 gem, and rarer ones consist of other gems of previous rarity, which adds to the grind

but yea, its good stuff
Witch powers? I have yet to see one forgotten altar. Just got my first head. Killed plenty of cocoon bosses. A week of grind I have zero idea what use any of it is. Rot must be stacking up.

Seems stupid to lock your seasonal theme this way.

Have all powers i need at 14-17 and i've barely spend any time in the new zones.

Like the quote says, it's not much of a grind, really, but neither is it an immense boost.

What I've found is that the witch powers are good for leveling: the bit of extra damage you get is a big deal early on, in order to help level quicker. But once you get to level 45 or 50, the witch powers start to matter less because of how much more damage monsters can take by then.

Basically, witch powers are good for leveling for a while, and after that they become more of a slight buff.
Its a no for me. :Owlcat_sad:

I can second this: the maxed aura range, maxed poison dmg and maxed additional dmg ones melt enemies and help very much in leveling alts, especially if you give them a mythic weapon from your main.
